About us
Navier USN is a student-driven team from the University of South-Eastern Norway. We bring together expertise in mechanical, electronic, and software engineering to design and develop the next generation of autonomous vessels and drone technology.
Our team is made up of passionate students united by one mission: driving forward sustainable and innovative solutions for the maritime sector. By competing in international competitions, we gain invaluable hands-on experience while building strong connections between students, industry, and academia.

Who can join?
Students from all programs and years at USN. Motivation beats experience.
How much time per week?
Typically 4–6 hours during the semester (more before competitions). Flexible around exams.
Do I need experience with boats or drones?
No — you’ll learn quickly through mentoring, labs, and previous projects.
How do sponsors help?
Funding, components, manufacturing, and technical expertise — and many recruit from the team.
What technologies do we use?
Embedded electronics, control, perception, autonomy, simulation, and cloud tools.
Where are you based?
Vestfold (USN). We test on water nearby and travel for competitions.
